Aid and Attendance Benefits for Veterans

The Veterans Aide and Attendance Pension provides qualified veterans and surviving spouses a pension that pays for at-home assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, and meal preparation.

American Veterans in need of assistance should take advantage of benefits offered for assisted living facility care or for home care. Statutes governing Veterans' benefits are located within Title 38 of the U.S. Code. Veterans entitled to receive benefits can access funds after qualifying on a need basis. Consumers need to be aware that Veterans, as well as certain widows or widowers, are also entitled to non-service connected benefits if they meet certain conditions.

If you are a veteran, or the surviving spouse of a veteran who served at least 90 days on active duty, and at least one day during a period of war, you may be eligible for Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance non-service connected pension.
